Tammi joined Young & McNelis in 2011, to work exclusively for Reneta L. Green-Streett, Esquire. She is a graduate of St. Michael's High School in Maryland, and, when she moved to Delaware in 2003, she began her paralegal career in civil personal injury claims.
Partner Jeffrey A. Young, Esquire attended Swarthmore College and Villanova University School of Law, gaining admission to the Delaware Bar in 1995. He is also admitted to the United States District Court and the United States Supreme Court. Following a clerkship with Superior Court Judges Maxson Terry, Jr. and Henry DuPont Ridgely, Jeff joined his father in private practice at the firm of Young & Young until Young & McNelis was formed in 2005. Jeff has served as President of the Kent County Bar Association, the Terry-Carey American Inn of Court, and the Delaware Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and he remains an active member of those groups. Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors for Bayhealth, Inc. as well as the Delaware Stadium Corporation, and was a previous board member of the Delaware Community Legal Aid Society. Jeff is a member of the Best Buddies Blue Gold Board of Trustees and various Delaware legal committees, including the Supreme Court Rules Committee, the Superior Court Rules Committee, the Permanent Advisory Committee on the Delaware Uniform Rules of Evidence and the Delaware Lawyers Rules of Professional Conduct, the Delaware State Bar Association Nominating Committee and Fee Dispute Committee, in addition to the Preliminary Review Committee of the Board on Professional Responsibility. Jeff is a certified mediator and has extensive jury trial experience, as well as appellate experience in the Delaware Supreme Court. Jeff was also recently appointed by the Delaware Bar Association to the Delaware Bar Foundation Board of Directors. He has been voted by his peers as a Top Lawyer in Delaware Today multiple times.
Founding partner Brian Thomas McNelis, Esquire, attended the University of Virginia as well as Widener School of Law, gaining admission to the Delaware Bar in 1990. Brian served as the Ruby R. Vale Law Clerk for Delaware Supreme Court Justice Henry R. Horsey in 1989. Brian practiced defense almost exclusively from 1992 through 1996 with the firm of Bailey and Wetzel in Wilmington, Delaware. He then spent nine years employed with Nationwide's Trial Division in Newark, Delaware. Brian is a member of the Delaware bar Association, Kent County Bar Association, as well as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has litigated over 60 cases to a jury verdict, including trials in all three Delaware Counties and the Federal District Court.

Associate Miranda “Mindy” D. Clifton has over 15 years of experience litigating personal injury matters for defendants. Mindy has worked 9 years as a Trial Attorney for Nationwide Insurance and over 6 years for private firms. Mindy’s practice focuses on the defense of both personal and commercial claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, product liability and premises liability. She is a skilled and experienced trial attorney with an outstanding defense verdict record.
Mindy has been certified by the Delaware Superior Court as a mediator and serves as both mediator and arbitrator in resolving disputes for other Delaware attorneys. She utilizes her resolution skills for her clients to negotiate fair settlements in many of her cases.
Mindy is also well-respected among her peers. She was elected President of the Delaware State Bar Association in 2016-2017. Prior to serving as President, she served on the Delaware State Bar Association Executive Committee for 9 years holding offices such as Vice President At Large, Vice President- New Castle County, Treasurer, Assistance Treasurer, Secretary and Assistance Secretary. She also was Chair of the Women and the Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association for a 2-year term. Mindy is also a member of the Kent County Bar Association and Terry-Carey Inn of Court.
Mindy graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2000 with her Juris Doctor (JD) degree and obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wilmington University in 2015. She continues to serve as an adjunct professor at Wilmington University in their Graduate Business department.

Joanne graduated from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware in 1999, and, upon graduation, she began her career as Jeffrey A. Young, Esquire's paralegal. She handles exclusively all of Mr. Young's cases.
Laura Lee graduated from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware and began her career in the legal field in 1985. She has worked in both Dover and Wilmington, including working for B. Wilson Redfearn, Esquire, where she found her niche at being an insurance defense litigation paralegal. Laura Lee became a member of Young & McNelis's team in 2005 to handle Mr. McNelis's cases exclusively. She is a Delaware Certified Paralegal and is a past Director for the Delaware Paralegal Association. She is also a member of Delaware Technical and Community College's Paralegal Advisory Board.
